GAME DETAILS

This is a game which invites players to explore everyday life in Ukraine during the late 1980s through conversation, imagination, and storytelling.

The cards include historical facts, questions, and scenes inspired by photographs taken during visits to Ukraine in 1987, 1989, and 1991.

Three or more players can play or read the cards yourself or with a partner and think about life back then.

The five types of cards include: History Cards, Question Discussion Cards, Action Cards, Photo Scene Cards, and Special Memory Cards

Players can choose whether to use all of the cards or select certain types of cards and choose which of three different ways to play – scoring points for a good response, no score and just conversation, or storytelling.

You can play for one or more rounds or set a time limit for play.

However you play the game, the real value comes from imagining historical moments, remembering and learning about everyday life, sharing ideas, storytelling, expressing viewpoints, and otherwise thinking about what life was like in Ukraine in earlier, peaceful times.
